The Lavenham Carnival, a feature since the 1970s, will be returning on Bank Holiday Monday to raise money for the Lavenham Community Council.

The event has a 1940s theme with a carnival procession featuring classic vehicles from the era as well as floats and traditional costumes and music.

The carnival has teamed up with the Lavenham Press Rare Breeds Motor Show, with over 450 classic and vintage cars displayed. Admission is £5 per adult, under-16s get in for free. The procession starts at the recreation ground from midday.
