The sun shone on hundreds of pristine Porsches at Hedingham Castle last weekend.

Thousands of exhibitors and visitors descended for Classics at the Castle, which saw enthusiasts and their vehicles arrive from across Europe.

Actor Matt Le Blanc, of Friends fame, attended the event on Sunday for the second year in a row.

Clive Barker, of Hedingham Castle, said: “It was a great event, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themsevles and we’ve heard nothing but positive comments.

“Attendance was at least 30 per cent up on last year. It was a tremendous day, there were literally hundreds of exhibitors with their vehicles.

“The car park was full of people with their Porsches coming to have a look, plus a lot of members of the general public.

“We certainly had 2,000-3,000 visitors.

“We had a number of European clubs here, with cars from Holland and Germany, and there were a lot of American visitors this year too.”

To mark the 60th anniversary of the first production Porsche 356 Carreras, this year’s Carrera Parade highlighted some of the early rare cars including the Fletcher Aviation 550 Spyder, 356 Carrera GS and GT and 904 GTS.

Events at the popular show included an auction by Coys of Kensington, which saw about 60 Porsches go under the hammer.

Awards for Star Car of the Day and Trade Stands, as well as the Hedingham Star, were presented to a handful of lucky owners.
