I sympathise with view

I was not surprised to read of Luke Cresswell’s despondency over the future of Belle Vue House.

Here in Hadleigh, we feel the same sort of desperation with Babergh District Council, and Suffolk County Council, over parts of our town.

The conversation with Simon Barrett at the Belle Vue House rally was confusing. He asked for ideas, drew a battle line over the plans and then told us that the house would be sold within the month.

This was so reminiscent of Hadleigh’s battles with the two councils over Tesco, East House Meadow and now the children’s centres.
