Green fair brings in the crowds in Sudbury
Sudbury has staged its second Green Fair which attracted a good number of visitors who enjoyed live music and cream teas.
The Babergh Green Party organised the event which featured six live bands, belly dancing, a bumble bee demonstration and green organisations including Greener Sudbury.
The day raised between £550 and £600 for the party.
It plans to stage annual green fairs at Hadleigh and Sudbury and hopes to return to St Peter’s Church on the Market Hill next year.
Around 300 people visited the event and enjoyed cream teas supplied by a local baker and the chance to browse the stalls.
Robert Lindsay, media officer for Babergh Greens, said: “We had quite a lot of stalls and quite a lot of footfall and people enjoyed coming in and browsing the stalls and listening to the music.
“The stallholders all said they’d like to come back next year.”
