Gainsborough goes in to three dimensions

The home of Thomas Gainsborough was this week used as a workshop to create a giant 3D work of art.
The ‘painting’ was part of the museum and gallery’s Thomas Tuesdays, with the gallery running family activities on Tuesdays during the holidays from 10am to 1.30pm. This week children and their parents and grandparents helped to create a 3D painting, including models of cows and painstakingly crafted thatched roofed cottages.
Learning officer Steph Parmee said it was great to see so many children.
