Free Glemsford Play Days ‘have been a success’
A series of free fun days Glemsford is keeping children entertained during the school holidays.
Every Tuesday throughout the school break, the Glemsford Play Days, held at the Village Hall, offers crafts and games, as well as a free lunch, for under 12s.
It is supported by Glemsford Angels, the Friday Coffee Morning, the Ipswich Building Society Branch in Ipswich, and the village parish council.
Parish councillor and organiser Anne Mallalieu, who praised the role of Jenny Brown in helping her run the event, said: “It is has been very successful. We have lots of different families who come, and we don’t necessarily get the same families each week. It reaches out to all sorts of people.” Next week’s event, indoor camping, runs from 11am to 3pm, while the following week an end of holiday party will be held from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
