Five crews were called to a fire in Suffolk which spread from a hedge and damaged two sheds, a car and a house.
The fire broke out yesterday at 8.10pm in Cats Lane, Sudbury, on a row of conifers next to a home.
Crews from Colchester, Halstead, Sudbury and Long Melford used two hose reels, one jet and small gear to extinguish the flames.
They battled the blaze for over an hour until around 9.26pm.
Sudbury Fire Station said those who quickly called 999 ‘almost certainly’ saved the house from devastation.
