Family welcomes Sudbury mayor for 95-year-old man's birthday celebrations in Great Cornard

Four generations of the Allenson family came together to celebrate a special occasion at Hillside Care Home in Great Cornard on Saturday.

Resident Walter Allenson celebrated his 95th birthday with his son Anthony, daughter-in-law Christine, grandson Ray and great grandson Max, 12.

There was also a visit from Sudbury mayor Robert Spivey, who gave Walter a box of shortbread biscuits – Walter’s favourite.
