Young people are being invited to tell in just 50 words what they think is good about Sudbury and the surrounding area.

And two successful winners will take part in the official opening of the brand new community health centre on the edge of the town.

Andrew Phillips, Lord Phillips of Sudbury, will officially open the Sudbury Community Health Centre in Church Field Road alongside the two winners on September 12.

The competition is open to two categories, those aged five to 10 and those aged 11 to 15. The 50 words can be a simple paragraph, a piece of poetry or lyrics written in rap, the main aim is to say what is good about the town and its surroundings.

Winners will be judged by members and clinicians from the West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group on August 31 and entries need to be submitted by noon on August 26. Send them to comms@suffolk.nhs.uk or by post to What’s Good Competition, West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group, West Suffolk House, Western Way, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3YU, including your name, address, phone number and age.

The centre will hold a special open day on September 12 so that people can explore its facilities which include GP and hospital services.
