Christmas competition at care facility in Long Melford hailed as great success

A Christmas-themed competition at a Long Melford care facility has been hailed as a huge success.

Residents, families, staff and volunteers at Melford Court Care Home took part in Stow Healthcare’s first winter competition, called Stow in the Snow, with categories ranging from best winter wonderland to best table decoration or festive floral arrangement.

Operations co-ordinator Alex Ball said: “It has been great to see the enthusiasm for the competition build alongside the lead up to the festive season.

“It has sparked really innovative ideas and unique interpretations of the categories at each home, with residents, visitors and staff all eagerly anticipating the judging day to show off their wonderful creations.”
