CCTV images of three men issued in relation to East Street, Sudbury, theft of elderly woman’s handbag




Police have issued images of three men they would like to speak to after an elderly woman’s handbag was stolen in a town.

The theft was in East Street, Sudbury, where the woman aged in her 80s had withdrawn money from a cashpoint and was then followed into a nearby shop by three men.

Once inside, one of the men distracted her while a second stole the handbag from her trolley.

The three men then left the shop together.

The bag was found in a road near Earls Colne, in Essex, by a member of the public the next day.

An envelope with cash in had been taken from it.

Police would like to speak to the three men in the pictures released in relation to the incident.

Anyone who recognises them or has any information in relation to the theft should contact the Sudbury Response Investigation Team on 101, quoting reference 37/26036/24.
