Carers help 70-year-old Glemsford man's motorbike dreams come true
Unable to walk, Michael Harvey had not ridden a motorbike for more than 10 years due to ill health, before carers made his dream come true.
Sally Thomason and Rhiannon Read, from Cephas Care, organised the day out for Michael, 70, from Drappery Common, Glemsford, with the help of Steve Jones from The Suffolk Crew, a bikers’ group.
Michael’s wife Gillian said: “An an MS sufferer for 30 years, he has had a wonderful life experience organised by his carers.
“He told them of his young days as a biker and, if he had his health, he would have taken up motorcycling again.”
Cephas Care deputy home care manager Rhiannon added: “We’ve been working with customers to achieve things they never thought they would be able to achieve.
“Steve and his biker friends did this out of the goodness of their hearts.”
