Candidate pledges to tackle traffic woes

A Labour candidate who is running for next year’s town and district council elections has promised to tackle Sudbury’s traffic problems.

Luke Cresswell has announced his intention to stand for the Sudbury South ward in the district council and town council elections on May 7, 2015.

The 26-year-old, who works as a teaching assistant at Tudor Primary School, said he wants to see more young people and diversity across both councils.

“I think people are fed-up of the failed promises and the lack of action,” he said.

If elected, Mr Cresswell said one of the issues he would focus on addressing is traffic and pollution in Sudbury.
