Appeal for witnesses launched after lead stolen from roof of Sudbury Town Hall




Approximately seven metres of lead has been stolen from the roof of Sudbury Town Hall, with police appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The theft occurred in the town centre at some point between 8pm on Tuesday and 8.25am on Wednesday.

During this time, access to the roof of the building in Old Market Place was gained using a ladder and climbing over the conservatory, before the lead was removed.

Anybody who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area during the times stated, or who has any information about the theft, is asked to get in touch with Suffolk Police.
