Sudbury Business Expo set to return to town hall for sixth year on June 5

The signature annual showcase of Sudbury businesses will return once again this summer, with more than 20 exhibitors already lined up.

The Sudbury Business Expo has been confirmed for a sixth year, taking place at its usual venue of Sudbury Town Hall, in Old Market Place, on June 5, from 3-6.30pm.

First held in 2016, the free event aims to celebrate successes within the local economy while also serving as a platform for businesses to connect and share ideas.

Organiser Penny Wilby, who runs business networking organisation thebestof Sudbury, said: “This year’s expo underscores our dedication to uniting trusted businesses and the community, especially vital in these challenging times.

“Thebestof Sudbury is committed to promoting local enterprises, providing a platform for them to excel and collaborate.

“By working together, we strengthen our local economy and support each other’s success.

“Our event celebrates this spirit of community and innovation and, thanks to our sponsors and participants, we continue making a significant positive impact locally.”

This year’s Sudbury Business Expo will feature three seminars led by local experts, based on the theme of stimulating growth.

Speakers announced so far include Justine Paul, founder of Suffolk Market Events and organiser of the Taste of East Anglia food festival, who will talk about her business journey.

In addition, Babergh District Council’s investment, innovation and business development lead, Tim Teather, will be on hand to discuss business grants and the key to successful applications for funding.

Stephen Whiskin, partner at Wayman and Long, which sponsors the event, added: “The Sudbury Business Expo is essential for highlighting the incredible talent we have right here in Suffolk.

“We are proud to support this event that not only fosters business growth, but strengthens community ties.”
