Three fire crews battle shed, fence and hedge blaze in Mill Road, Mendlesham

Three fire crews were called to a blaze at an outdoor shed in Mendlesham, which had spread to a hedge and fence.

Crews from Eye, Debenham and Stowmarket were sent to battle the blaze at the Mill Road property just before 8.30pm yesterday.

They worked to extinguish the flames in just under an hour, with a stop time having been called at 9.15pm.

A Suffolk fire and rescue spokesman said: "Crews worked quickly to extinguished the fire and make the surrounding area safe."
