Stowupland High School hosts fun-filled Easter break for children
Children were given the chance to become princesses for the day and to learn circus skills over the Easter holidays.
Hosted at Stowupland High School, children were treated to a variety of fun activities over the break including a princess training workshop giving them the opportunity to sing, dance and decorate Easter cards.
Josie May leads the princess event as her character ‘The Rose Princess’ - a role she loves to play.
She said: “It was a very special day, we had an amazing time and the weather was lovely.
“I love my job. It’s so rewarding, especially seeing all the children dressed up as their favourite princesses.
“They all looked brilliant and we had lots of fun.”
Alongside this, a circus skills workshop led by Academy of Movement from Bury St Edmunds gave pupils a chance to show off their acrobatic skills.
This event was held at the Stowupland Sports Centre and saw children learning how to somersault, spinning in hoops and testing their balance.
Other activities on offer included inflatable bouncy castle assault course, Nerf battles, a visit from the Ipswich Town Foundation Soccer School and an Easter egg hunt around the school.
Charlotte Darlow Hunt, manager of Stowupland Sports Centre, said: “The Easter holidays were very busy here at Stowupland with lots of fun activities taking place across the high school and sports centre.
“The princess workshop was adorable – with all of the children dressed up as their favourite princesses.
“The Rose Princess was brilliant, the children were completely enthralled with her and loved every moment.
“The circus skills workshop was excellent too, the children loved learning new skills and made lots of new friends.
“But that was just the tip of the iceberg – we had lots of sporty activities taking place throughout the Easter break too.”
