Stowmarket Mind charity shop in Ipswich Street opens

A new Mind charity shop has opened in Stowmarket, with the team running it saying they are looking forward to being part of the community.

Yesterday shoppers watched on as Jon Neal, CEO of Suffolk Mind, and town mayor, Cllr Nick Gowrley, cut the ribbon and declared the store in Ipswich Street open.

Kelly Law, regional manager at Mind, said: “We are so excited to welcome the people of Stowmarket to this new Mind shop and are incredibly grateful to the public for coming and supporting us on opening day.

“The excitement around this opening has been amazing, and we are so looking forward to being a part of the local community.”

People living in Stowmarket are being encouraged to help the shop, and Mind, by donating items or volunteering.

In March, Mind opened a shop in Woodbridge.
