Stowmarket High School forced to close due to no heating or hot water




A secondary school has been forced to close due to no heating or hot water.

Stowmarket High School issued a statement this morning informing students and parents about the closure.

It said: “On the advice of public health guidance the school had to make the decision to close today due to the fact that we have no hot water.”

They said online work was available for students.

This afternoon, they said: “The engineers have been working tirelessly all morning, but unfortunately, have not yet been able to fix the issue.

“The school will remain closed for the remainder of the day.”

In an update, the school said it will remain closed tomorrow.

Online learning will be in place.
