Stowmarket: Taylor Cobbold cleared over stolen dog incident




A man charged with stealing a four-month old German shepherd puppy in Onehouse, near Stowmarket, has been cleared.

Poppy was taken from her owners in Ash Road on Saturday, March 7, but was returned later the same day.

Taylor Cobbold, 22, of Rendlesham Road, Ipswich, was charged with that theft and three burglaries all committed in the Stowmarket area in one day.

The first incident related to property in Kersey Close, Stowmarket, where a suspect entered a shed in the rear garden of a property which disturbed the occupants. Nothing was stolen and the suspect left the scene.

Later on in Ash Road, Onehouse, at least one suspect entered a property and stole a number of items including Poppy as well as a pair of headphones, a jacket, a jumper, underwear and an electronic item.

Another property in Ash Road was then targeted as suspects stole a number of items from within including two coats, car keys, a bunch of keys and a Kindle.

Cobbold was charged with two offences of burglary dwelling, burglary other and criminal damage, relating to a separate incident.

He was cleared over the three burglary offences but pleaded guilty to criminal damage and was jailed for 28 days.
