High Road Festival in Great Finborough near Stowmarket raises £15k for Red Gables dementia group
A country and Americana music festival that ‘ticked every box’ has raised thousands for a dementia support group.
High Road Festival took place in Great Finborough and raised £15,000 for the Mid Suffolk Voluntary Organisation Forum for Dementia group which is part of Red Gables in Stowmarket.
The two-day festival on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15 saw thousands of visitors attend to watch 19 acts perform across two stages including Jax & Co, Palomino Kings, The-Forget-Me-Nots and The Lightning Club.
Organiser Stephen Basey-Fisher said: “Everyone knows someone affected by dementia and it is great to support a local charity like Red Gables.
“There was such an amazing atmosphere across both days and it really ticked every box for me.
“I’ve always wanted to host my own festival - and all the acts were very professional and played to a very high standard.”
The money raised at the event will enable the dementia charity to continue to support individuals living with dementia.
