Meadlands in Needham Road Stowmarket hosts weekly Take Time Tuesdays

The new manager of the Meadlands social club in Stowmarket wants the venue in Needham Road to become a community hub.

Anyone looking to make new friends is welcome at Take Time Tuesdays, a free meet-up with tea, coffee and biscuits, which takes place each week between 10am – 12pm.

Take Time Tuesdays have been created in association with the Rural Coffee Caravans Meet Up Mondays – with the aim of combating loneliness.

Sarah Greenwood, who has managed the Meadlands since November, has an Easter event and charity fundraiser planned for the coming weeks.

Meadlands member Chris Woods is hosting a 12-hour darts marathon on his birthday, Saturday, April 6.

The event, which costs £5 to enter, will raise funds for men’s mental health charity MANUP?
