Find out what's next for Stowmarket at public exhibition
A free pop-up exhibition in Stowmarket next month will show off a range of projects and proposals that could shape the future of the town.
From September 22-24, the public will be able to visit the John Peel Centre to see what Mid Suffolk District Council has in store for the future.
Attendees will be able to talk to people involved in detail about new proposals in the town.
This includes plans for a new leisure, sport, education and wellbeing hub on land surrounding Stowmarket High school; an update on Gateway 14 with plans for a new Skills and Innovation Centre at the site; and updates on a creative wayfinding project for the town.
It will also provide an opportunity to learn about new developments at the John Peel Centre and Old Fox Yard.
Other projects on display include the Virtual High Street, a virtual hub to allow people to buy from stores, and the Mid Suffolk Disability Forum, a group to help the authority consult with disabled people.
The event is being co-ordinated by partners involved in the Stowmarket Vision Partnership, which seeks to spur economic development in the town.
Councillor Suzie Morley, Mid Suffolk District Council leader, said: “Over the last few years there have been many positive developments in and around Stowmarket and I am pleased that we have been able to come together with our partners to showcase some of the plans for the town.
"I hope that residents, community groups and local business owners will come along and find out more.”
