Lezzihh Bar and Grill, in Ipswich Street, Stowmarket, to open this weekend at the former site of Prezzo

A new restaurant will open in Stowmarket this weekend at the former home of Prezzo.

Lezzihh Bar and Grill, in Ipswich Street, Stowmarket, will be welcoming the public from Sunday (January 28) after a VIP opening tomorrow (January 26).

Ersim Aydin, manager of Lezzihh, had hoped to be open before Christmas but the refurbishment works were delayed.

However, she is now looking forward to being able to share Lezzihh with residents and treat them to what it has to offer.

Ersim said: “It’s so exciting to be opening Lezzihh and making them feel special.

“We’re going to be serving all sorts, mediterranean food, and we’re also going to be doing lunch and brunch.

“The atmosphere as you walk in feels really cosy and welcoming, very homely and friendly. ”

Ersim has also said Lezzihh is open to potentially doing bottomless brunches in the future.

There will be a wide variety of dishes on the menu, as well as Efes and Peroni on draught, as well as a selection of bottled beers, cocktails, wines, champagne, spirits and hot and soft drinks.

In terms of food, Ersim said: “Food wise it’s going to be a lot of vegetables; it’s really ideal for vegetarians and vegans.

“It’s also more herbs than spices, you’ll get a lot of flavours.”

In particular, Ersim identified the aubergine kebab and chicken wings as her favourite dishes on the menu; the wings in particular were a highlight for the way they are charcoal grilled, which she says really enhances the flavour.

Lezzihh will also be available for gatherings and parties of all sorts, including birthdays, wedding receptions, anniversaries and many more.

And when asked why people should choose Lezzihh to visit, Ersim said: “Because it’s friendly, it’s very welcoming.

“Even if you’re on your own and want to go and eat somewhere, the place would be Lezzihh – we won’t make them feel like they’re alone.
