Former Bacton Middle School site to host final fireworks display before demolition
A former school will host its final fireworks display on Friday before the site is demolished.
Bacton Middle School, which shut in 2015, will welcome spectators from 5pm for the farewell fireworks display.
Organisers have been granted permission to hold one last event within the grounds, off Wyverstone Road, before the school is demolished and the site redeveloped.
Gareth Mutimer, organiser and former pupil, said: "The school has played a big part of many people's lives and will be greatly missed by many.
"The organisers are currently seeking out a new venue for future events."
The display will start at 6.45pm and there will be a bar, fun fair and hot food.
There is no parking on site and visitors are asked to park considerately in the neighbouring villages to walk to the event.
Tickets on the gate cost £6 for adults and £5 for children, with free entry for children under five.
They can be purchased in advance from Bacton Post Office.
