Family of John Vincent, 61, of Ipswich, issue tribute to ‘loving father, brother and grandad’ who died in A14 crash between Stowmarket and Haughley




The family of a man who died in a two-vehicle crash on the A14 have paid tribute to a ‘loving father, brother and grandad’.

John Vincent, 61, of Ipswich, died on Thursday, February 20 after the black Ford C-Max car he was driving collided with a Volvo Skip Loader vehicle, parked in a layby on the westbound carriageway of the A14 between Stowmarket and Haughley.

The incident was just after 11.40pm with police, the ambulance service, a paramedic from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) and fire crews attending.

Mr Vincent was declared dead at the scene.

His family issued a tribute via Suffolk Police.

They said: “To a loving father, brother and grandad who will be sorely missed for all the joy and laughter you brought into everybody's lives.

“You will be missed greatly by all who knew you. Rest in peace you will never be forgotten.

“We love you.

“RIP John William Vincent.”
