Stowmarket boutique, Molls & Dolls, announces closure after nine years in town
A popular Suffolk clothing boutique has announced it is to close.
Molls & Dolls, in Station Road West, Stowmarket, announced the closure yesterday.
The women’s fashion store, which has been in the town for nine years, says the ‘current financial climate, rising costs of living and changing consumer habits’ are to blame.
It has now launched a closing down sale under the banner: ‘everything must go’.
In a statement on Facebook, the owners, said: “It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the closure of Molls & Dolls Boutique.
“In light of the current financial climate, rising costs of living, and changing consumer habits, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors.
“Over the last nine years, we have been incredibly fortunate to have had the pleasure of getting to know so many people and we want to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude for your support, loyalty, and friendship throughout this journey.
“While this news may come as a disappointment, please know that it was not made lightly.
“We have cherished every moment spent with our customers.
“The memories we've shared and the relationships we've built will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
“While this chapter may be coming to an end, the bonds we've formed with many will endure.”
The shop, which sold individual, designer inspired clothing launched its closing down sale yesterday.
It was known for stocking fashion for all ages and budgets. Many of its brands were not stocked anywhere else in Suffolk.
The statement added: “As we navigate this transition, we want to assure you that our commitment to providing exceptional service remains unwavering.
“Our closing down sale starts today and everything must go.
“Please come and spend your gift vouchers and outstanding credit notes before it's too late.
“Once again, thank you for your support, understanding, and friendship. It has been an honour to be a part of your lives.”
