Residents are invited to explore opportunities for volunteering, joining clubs or simply learning more about what their community has on offer.

Stowmarket town centre is gearing up for a day of discovery, fun and community spirit with the upcoming Community Showcase Day on Thursday, April 10, from 10am to 3pm.

The event, which coincides with the town's regular market day and Foodie Thursdays, will feature more than 40 local groups, service providers and organisations.

Sarah Ellice, event coordinator from Stowmarket Town Council, said: “We’re really looking forward to this event.

“You can discover a wide range of local opportunities, from sports clubs and arts programmes to environmental projects and volunteering opportunities.

“Whether you’re interested in joining a group, applying for funding, or just learning about the great initiatives shaping Stowmarket’s future, there’s something for everyone.”

Stowmarket Town Council recently announced a shake-up to the town’s market scene which you can read more about here.

This includes the return of the Stowmarket’s Farmers Market and the new Family Friendly Market.
