Car seized by Stowmarket Police in Gun Cotton Way had no working handbrake
Police officers have seized a car that was reported for causing issues on the roads of Stowmarket.
The car which had no working handbrake and no exhaust, was found by the officers on Sunday, in Gun Cotton Way.
It also had red LEDs in the headlights and its number plate was not displayed correctly.
The driver of the car was issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR), under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act.
On Facebook, Stowmarket Police said these can be given to vehicles that have been driving in a careless or inconsiderate manner which will annoy members of the public.
These will stay on the vehicle and driver for one year.
Officers said the car was seized immediately, due to the nature of the issues it presented.
This was done at a cost to the owner.
