A14 westbound reopens outside Stowmarket after serious crash shut it for eight hours

The A14 has reopened after a serious crash which shut the route for eight hours.
Emergency services were called to the route, at Haughley, at 11.41pm yesterday following reports of a crash involving a car and a lorry.
The westbound route was closed between junction 50 at Stowmarket and junction 49 at Tot Hill.
A spokesperson for National Highways said the route reopened at 7.45am.
