A14 at Stowmarket at standstill after lorry spills mud, stones and rocks on road




Drivers are facing delays on the A14 after a lorry spill saw mud, stones and rocks scattered across the road.

Suffolk Police were called to the scene at junction 49 at Stowmarket following reports that a tipper truck had lost its load.

Traffic is down to one lane and is backed up to around Needham Market.

Officers from Highways England are also en route to the scene to assist with the clean up.

The westbound carriageway was fully closed at 9.15am, with lane 2 having opened shortly after.
