Soham Village College confirms student tested positive for Covid-19

Soham Village College has confirmed a student has tested positive for Covid-19, but will be staying open.

The secondary school in Sand Street wrote to parents yesterday to state pupils who had been in 'direct prolonged contact' with the child would be receiving an individual letter and told to stay at home for 14 days.

The letter stated: "The school remains open and your child should continue to attend if they remain well."

It added: "Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus will be a mild illness."
