Body found in search for missing Red Lodge man

A body has been found in the search for a missing Red Lodge man.

Suffolk Police were called today at about 3.40pm by a member of the public who found a body in woodland near to Turnpike Road.

A formal identification of the body will now take place. A police cordon is in place and the death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

The discovery comes days after police launched an appeal to find missing Red Lodge man Adrian Mayes, who had been missing since September 25.

Police said the 50 year old had left his home at about 4pm and had not been seen since. His disappearance was described as "out of character".

Mr Mayes' family have been informed.
