Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm near Needham Market undergoes improvements to farm shop and new outdoor café built




A popular farm near Needham Market has seen improvements made to its shop and lambing shed and a new outdoor café has been built ready for its reopening this week.

Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm now has a lighter and larger lambing shed which means there's more of a chance for visitors to see a rare breed lamb being born.

The farm shop has had another revamp this year making it brighter and bigger with lots of local gifts and produce for visitors to buy, including the farm's own rare breed meat.

There is also a new outdoor café, the Cattle Yard Kitchen, which will be serving a range of hot and cold filled rolls, homemade cakes and scones, hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice creams.

On certain days the Famous Baylham BBQ will be serving a range of a delicious home reared produce with a vegan option available.

The farm will begin the lamb cuddling event from Saturday until February 19. Other animal encounters will also be running including Bunny Barn, pony grooming and goat grooming.

Molly the Middle White sow is due any day and she, along with her piglets, will be able to be seen next to our lambing shed.

The farm will be opening on Saturday from 10am until 5pm and then everyday there after. Each child receives a free bag of animal food upon entry and there is no need to book in advance.
