Needham Market Football Club plans for new treatment building approved by Mid Suffolk District Council planners
Proposals to improve Needham Market Football Club’s facilities as it aims to progress have been given the green light by planners.
Mid Suffolk District Council has approved the club’s application for a new outbuilding to be used as a treatment/therapy room, which would be about the size of two shipping containers side by side.
A planning statement said the outbuilding would provide facilities complementary to the main football ground which would be needed for the club to progress through the tiers of the semi-professional game.
It said: “The current crowd capacity at ‘Bloomfields’ is 2,250 spectators and the current average crowd is in excess of 300 people.
“The provision of this facility will give the ground an immediate treatment centre should incidents occur on or off the pitch, such as player injury or medical emergency.”
