Beck Row Primary Academy, in The Street, permitted to install 11 new solar panels by West Suffolk Council
A village primary school has been granted permission to install 11 solar panels to give it a total of 22 electric vehicle charging points.
Academy Transformation Trust’s plans to give Beck Row Primary Academy, in The Street, the solar panels canopies were green lit by West Suffolk Council last Thursday.
The parking spaces, which are entered via Lamble Close, will take the form of solar carports.
The 11 new panels, which will be in two additional canopies, will themselves supply four EV charging points, which will take the school’s spaces to 22 in total.
This is according to current and future projected demand, a planning statement said.
Beck Row Parish Council supported the plans.
