A teenager will appear in court after admitting causing serious injuries to two people through careless driving in a town.

Thomas Yorke, 19, of Upware, near Ely, will appear in Suffolk Magistrates' Court on April 16.

At the same court on January 31, he indicated he was guilty of two counts of causing serious injury to a male and a female through inconsiderate driving.

The charges relate to an incident on the A1101 in Mildenhall on September 7.

He was driving an Audi A3 when it happened.

Yorke was due to be sentenced at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court yesterday, but this was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
