In addition to keeping a look out for uninsured drivers, they also attended crashes and ‘domestic incidents’.

Throughout April, The Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team are undertaking a scheme known as Operation Spotlight, cracking down on the ‘fatal four’ driving offences.

This means drivers not wearing a seatbelt, using a mobile phone at the wheel, speeding or being under the influence of drugs/alcohol will be targeted.

Earlier this month, Forest Heath Police stopped two food delivery drivers with no insurance.

Police said stopping vehicles for the fatal four can often uncover other criminality, including drug dealing, human trafficking and burglary.
