He said: “I’m very happy, I’ve had a great time at sixth form and I feel really good.
“I want to thank all the support I’ve had as I’m delighted with these grades and I’m just glad the hard work has paid off.
“Being head boy has been a fantastic opportunity over the last year. I’ve given my ideas, I’ve learnt some new skills and it’s just been incredible.”
Aaron said he’s now ready for what the future holds which includes moving to the University of Leeds to study biochemistry.
Head girl Page Renyard, 18, got Bs in English literature, sociology, and her EPQ as well as a distinction star in business.

“I found the exams pleasant and I actually enjoyed the process of doing them. They were definitely easier than doing GCSEs.
“I’m now excited for what’s ahead.”
On being head girl for the last year which included organising a midsummer ball, Page said: “It was a bit of extra work to do but it was amazing on the whole and I got to know people I never would’ve normally spoken to.
“I’m quite shy so being head girl took me out of my comfort in the best way possible.”
Page will be studying sociology at University College London next year.

“So this morning was a big shock to me that I got the grades I have but I’m really happy with them.
“I tend to doubt myself so it was really a big relief for me.”
Sophie is looking to study psychology at the University of East Anglia in September and hopes to work in a prison in the future.
Nicola Hood, principal at the academy, said: “We are delighted with the achievements of our students this year.

“Our students have done amazingly well and have successfully gained places at universities, higher apprenticeships and in employment.
“We thank the students for the wider contributions they have made to the MCA community as well as their well-deserved results.”
