A11 in Suffolk closed between Elveden and Fiveways Roundabout, outside Mildenhall, after collision with lorry and car ‘off the road’

A major route in Suffolk is shut following a collision with a lorry and a car both ‘off the road’.

The A11 is closed northbound between the A1065 and A1101 at Fiveways Roundabout in Barton Mills, outside Mildenhall, and the B1106 at Elveden.

Officers were called at 6.12pm and remain at the scene of the incident.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said a car and a lorry had come off the road and gone into a field.

According to the AA traffic map, there are delays in the area.

Road users have been advised to follow this diversion route:

- At Fiveways Roundabout take the second exit onto the A1065 and continue through RAF Lakenheath to the junction with the B1106

- Turn right onto the B1106 and continue to the junction with Green Road

- At the junction turn left and continue on Green Road to the junction with the B1107

- Turn right and continue on the B1107 to re-join the A11 at the B1107 roundabout
