Delays on A11 by Fiveways Roundabout in Barton Mills, near Mildenhall, due to ‘a shed load of bricks’




There are delays on a major route in Suffolk with a lane closed on a busy roundabout due to ‘a shed load of bricks’.

Officers were called just before 7.20am to reports of rocks and rubble on the A11 at Fiveways Roundabout in Barton Mills, near Mildenhall.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said the objects were blocking the middle lane of the roundabout, which is believed to have been shed from a lorry.

Suffolk Highways has been notified and will attend the incident.

A National Highways spokesperson said a lane is closed on the Fiveways Roundabout on the A11 near Barton Mills due to a shed load of bricks, with severe delays in the area approaching the A11 and A1101.

According to the AA traffic map, there are delays in the area with long queues on the A11 coming from the direction of Thetford.
