Lowestoft woman left injured after incident in Cotman Close sees gang of youths steal bicycle worth £1,000




A woman was attacked and had stones thrown at her after a gang of young people chased two youths in Lowestoft.

Suffolk Constabulary is appealing for information to the incident, which occurred at around 7.25pm on April 11.

A group of young people had gathered in a wooded area off Yarmouth Road, when they chased two youths in the direction of Cotman Close.

The bicycles were left outside of a house in Cotman Close, before the woman came out to challenge the group. The group threw stones at her, causing a bruise to her cheek, while one member of the group is alleged to have swung a punch at her.

After the incident, the group then walked away with one of the bikes, worth £1,000.
