Two men will appear in court today after police were called to a burglary in a Suffolk town.

Officers were called to reports of a burglary in progress at a property in Beresford Road, Lowestoft, at 10.30pm on Thursday.

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene while another man fled from police.

A 31-year-old man was later identified and arrested.

Jacob Doy, 25, of Halcyon Crescent, Lowestoft, and Toby Maxwell, 31, of Kingfisher Crescent, Southwold, have been charged with two counts of burglary.

They are due to appear before Norwich Magistrates’ Court today.
