Police investigating suspected arson at Waveney Drive, Lowestoft, after firefighters called to derelict storage sheds

Police are investigating a suspected arson after firefighters were called to derelict storage sheds in a coastal town last night.

Two crews from Lowestoft were called to the scene off Waveney Drive, in Lowestoft, at around 7.40pm.

On arrival firefighters found smoke but no evidence of fire, a fire service spokesperson said.

The smoke was dispersed using ventilation equipment.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said the incident was being investigated as possible arson and anyone with information should contact the force quoting crime reference number 37/23881/24.
