Over 800 illegal vapes and packets of tobacco were seized after shops were raided in two Suffolk towns.

In the former, officers discovered 495 vapes from a shop which were not up to standard, including some which offered up to 10,000 puffs.

A legal vape would offer 600.

The products were also found to have been over stickered to disguise the nicotine content.

In the latter, 206 illegal vapes with puffs ranging from 3,500 to 18,000 were seized by STS, alongside 132 packets of illegal tobacco.

Officers from the agency will now assess the products as part of its investigation to determine the exact offences committed.

STS added that anyone who suspects a shop may be selling illegal tobacco of unsafe e-cigarettes and vaping liquids, or selling age-restricted products to children, can report their concerns in confidence to its helpline on 08082231133.
