Ryan Latham jailed for over five years after drug dealing, including hiding substances in his underwear

A man has been jailed for over five years after drug dealing offences, after trying to hide the substances in his underwear.

Ryan Latham, 32, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 69 months in in prison at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday (October 2), pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of drugs over a period of nearly seven months.

Latham was also found guilty of possession of ketamine and possession of two mobile phones in prison, after being arrested at Yarmouth Road, in Lowestoft.

He was initially arrested on February 15, 2021 after being found involved in drug supply from the sixteenth of the previous month, and was found to be concealing cannabis and cocaine in his underwear on his arrest.

Latham then reoffended after the arrest and was involved in supply from February 24 to July 6 of the same year.

A later search of his phone found messages consistent with dealing of crack cocaine, ketamine, cannabis and synthetic cannabinoids, after which he was charged.

The arrests and investigations were led by Suffolk Police’s Sentinel team; three teams across the south, west and eastern areas of the county provide enhanced coverage of the county’s road network to disrupt organised crime and increase visibility.
