Suffolk Police appeal after Lowestoft fish and chip shops hit by break-ins




Fish and chip shops in Lowestoft have been hit by a spate of break-ins – prompting a police appeal.

Mr Chips in Stradbroke Road was targeted at some point between 11pm on Monday and 9.30am on Tuesday.

A quantity of cash was stolen from the shop.

On Tuesday, a break-in was reported at Pakefield Plaice in Pakefield Street.

This occurred around 4.05am – but it is not believed anything was stolen.

Police wish to speak to anyone who witnessed the incidents, or who may have information of potential interest to investigators.

They can get in touch with Suffolk Constabulary on 101, or by filing a report online.

The crime reference for the Mr Chips burglary is 37/43264/23, while the reference for the Pakefield Plaice break-in is 37/43256/23.
