Lowestoft drug-dealer Garth Streete jailed at Ipswich Crown Court for more than five years
A drug-dealer from Lowestoft has been jailed after admitting to multiple offences.
Garth Streete, 63 of Hollingsworth Road, was in the dock at Ipswich Crown Court yesterday, having pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of drugs and acquiring criminal property, namely £220.
The court heard how police searched a phone taken from a drug user, which displayed multiple messages advertising drugs for sale.
Continued probes linked the messages to Streete, who was arrested on July 21.
He reportedly sent 235 text messages between March 24 and April 6.
These were sent to known drug users in the Lowestoft area.
After his arrest, police raided his home, where they seized £220 in cash, a cannister containing cocaine, a set of scales that tested positive for cocaine and two mobile phones.
Appearing for sentencing yesterday, Streete was handed a five years and six months in prison.
