Man arrested after cannabis discovered during vehicle stop in Lowestoft's Yarmouth Road

A 34-year-old man was arrested today after police found cannabis during a vehicle stop in Lowestoft.

Police had reason to stop a black Vauxhall Astra in Yarmouth Road and search the occupants under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A quantity of cannabis was discovered by officers on one of the occupants.

A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and on suspicion of failing a drug driving test.

He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning but has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
