Lowestoft to host cyber crime escape room later this month

People looking for an informative challenge will be able to take on a cyber security-themed escape room later this month.

Lowestoft Library will be hosting hour-long sessions alongside the Norfolk and Suffolk Police cyber crime unit on September 17 in a bid to raise awareness about online threats.

This is one of a few events this month Suffolk Police are holding to raise awareness of how people can better protect themselves online.

The escape rooms fall one week after a Q&A on Tuesday September 6 designed to answer queries the public may have about protecting themselves online or about their 'cyber footprints'.

They are also hosting an open session for over-55s as part of the libraries 'Time Out' sessions that tackle a new topic every week.

Attendance is free but people who wish to try their luck need to book with the library beforehand as slots are limited.

Up to five people per game can test their wits and cyber knowledge.
